Reasons to attend BathMUN13:

1. The most authentic Security Council experience available on the MUN circuit
2. the UK?s most beautiful city which is also a UNESCO world heritage site
3. A rich variety of committees to suit all abilities and preferences

The University of Bath is delighted to bring to you the Bath Model United Nations conference 2013 (BathMUN13).

The Bath Model United Nations society has been growing in both size and stature since its founding in 2010. BathMUN13 is the 3rd model United Nations conference to be held by the University, who aim to continue the tradition of outstanding conferences year after year.

Why choose BathMUN13?

There are many reasons you should consider sending a delegation to BathMUN13. Chiefly amongst these is our fully authentic United Nations Security Council experience, where delegates from French, Spanish, Russian and Chinese Mandarin speaking nations are able to deliver speeches in their native tongue, with interpreters translating their speeches into English through headphones. The committee itself will be located in our world class university translation labs, allowing for an intimate and authentic feel to our Security Council that can?t be rivalled by other conferences.

All other committees will be conducted in English, and we have a great selection of committees for BathMUN13 including; UNICEF, DiSEC, the League of Arab Nations, Human Rights Council and even a Historical Security Council! With delegations attending from all over the UK and overseas, delegates are sure to meet many new enthusiastic MUNers, as well as bumping into a few familiar faces no doubt.

Bath also has a special connection with the UN. In 1987 the city and its surrounding area received the distinct honour of becoming a UNESCO world heritage site due to its beautifully preserved architecture and historical significance.

On behalf of all those on the organising committee, we are thrilled to invite you to our conference, and thoroughly look forward to seeing you at BathMUN13.
